Lion Hyacinth Jeremiah, MJF, a dedicated Lion for more than three decades, he has earned the respect of his peers through his integrity, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. Guided by his theme, “Service: Our Blessing. Our Legacy. Our Future.”, he is committed to inspiring Lions and Leos throughout the Caribbean to serve with compassion, lead with purpose, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
Originally from Levera, St. Patrick’s, Grenada, Lion Hyacinth joined the St. George’s Lions Club in October 1995. Since then, he has served in almost every leadership position within his club, including three terms as Club President. His leadership during the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan demonstrated resilience, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to serving both his club and the wider community.
His leadership has extended throughout the District, serving as Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, Guiding Lion, Second Vice District Governor, and First Vice District Governor. As Region Chairperson, he was recognized as the Most Outstanding Region Chairperson, and as Club President he successfully led the formation of the St. John’s Lions Club, serving as its Guiding Lion for two years. Throughout his Lionistic journey, he has served on numerous District committees, including Leo and Youth, Children Services, Environment, Disaster Preparedness, Finance, and the Global Service Team.
Professionally, Lion Hyacinth is an accomplished accounting and finance executive. He is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Forensic CPA, and holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Leicester. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of HLB Grenada, one of Grenada’s leading audit and advisory firms. Prior to establishing HLB Grenada, he served in senior positions with Pannell Kerr Forster Grenada, Capital Bank International Limited, and the CARICOM Secretariat in Guyana.
His commitment to public service extends beyond Lionism. Lion Hyacinth currently serves on the Board of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC) and is a member of the Fiscal Resilience Oversight Committee (FROC), which monitors and reports to Parliament on Grenada’s compliance with fiscal responsibility legislation. He previously served on the Board of the Grenada Airports Authority and has provided pro bono audit services to numerous charitable organizations, including the Grenada Heart Foundation, Grenada Kidney Foundation, Grenada Autism Foundation, CHORES Grenada, and Lions and Leo Clubs throughout Grenada. He also serves as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the OECS – Grenada Branch.
As District Governor, Lion Hyacinth’s vision is centered on strengthening the impact of Lions throughout District 60B by focusing on eight strategic priorities:

Lion Hyacinth is married to Donna, and together they have three children, including their daughter, Leo Ashlee. Outside of his professional and Lionistic responsibilities, he enjoys basketball, gospel music, and spending quality time with family and friends. He is a passionate advocate for youth leadership, mentorship, and the effective use of technology to enhance the impact of Lions service throughout the Caribbean.
Under his leadership, District 60B is committed to building stronger clubs, developing future leaders, expanding humanitarian service, and strengthening partnerships that improve lives throughout the region.
